MQI to celebrate Independence Day with the flood affectees

Sheikh Zahif Fayyaz, senior Deputy Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has said that the leaders and workers of MQI would celebrate the Independence Day with the flood affectees as a mark of solidarity throughout the world. He said that thousands of workers of MQI are engaged in rescue and relief operations in the country. They would launch fund-raising campaign on the 14th of August and spend their time with the flood affectees.

Expressing his lack of satisfaction on the official relief and rescue operations, he said that they fell short of the needful with the result that people’s worries are increasing. He said that the worst ever flood of Pakistan’s history eliminated hundreds of villages from the face of earth and displaced hundreds of thousands of people. These poor people are living helpless lives under the sun and the governmental mismanagement has added to their worries. He said that Minhaj Welfare Foundation was carrying out its activities throughout the country and the leaders and workers of MQI would visit the tent settlements on the 14th of August and spend the Independence Day with the flood affected people.
