MQI expresses concern over law & order in the country

Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Dr Raheeq Abbasi has said that the entire nation was concerned over the deteriorating law and order situation in the country particularly in Karachi, Quetta, Ziarat and GB. He said that both the federal and provincial governments needed to take immediate steps to stem the tide of lawlessness and bring in normalcy in the troubled areas.

Dr Abbasi expressed these views while talking to a delegation of MQI Karachi and Balochistan which called on him at the central secretariat in Lahore the other day. He said that the ongoing wave of target killings and bloodshed in the country had brought it into disrepute at the international level.

Dr Abbasi said that it was important to establish writ of the government and peace in these areas in the larger interest of national security and people’s welfare. He said that the recent incidents indicated that the law enforcement agencies were not up to the task and needed capacity building on modern lines.
