Itikaf City Minhaj ul Quran 2017

While addressing the thousands of residents of Itikaf City 2017 at Jamy al-Minhaj, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Allah Almighty perfected the morality of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and rendered it into a complete code of conduct for humanity. He said that morality is the most sublime virtue in all the attributes of man. He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is the best both in terms of his creation and morality. He said that the Holy Quran is a manifestation of excellence of his conduct.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Allah Almighty beautified exterior of man by making him the best of creations and embellished his interior by breathing His spirit into him. He said that man has both positive and negative attributes. He said that the abode of negative attributes is ill-commanding self (Nafs) and that of positive attributes is soul. He said that morality is when we mete out excellent treatment to others, adding that it has huge importance in the teachings of the faith.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the ten days of Itikaf are meant for training of one's morality and internal reformation, for faith is all about excellence of conduct. He said that ill-manners lead to obscenity and bad deeds are called 'munkar', further stating that prayer stops us from committing both of these evils. He said that if prayer does not reform our morality it is nothing but physical exertion.

Dr Qadri said that if worship cannot bring about change in our morality, it cannot win divine pleasure. He said that the nub and nucleus of fasting is cultivation of fellow feeling for those who are less privileged. He said that fasting is all about shunning bad deeds. Allah has nothing to do with the hunger of those who indulge in lying and sins. He said that Allah Almighty wants to enrich our morality through worship. He said that fasting is all about shunning bad deeds, adding that worship such as fasting, Hajj, Zakat and other rituals are acceptable only when they lead to moral edification and reform.

The patron-in-chief of MQI said that Iman is all about good deeds and good morality. He said that paradise is an exalted place and in order to be able to enter it, one needs to have superior morality.
