USA: Quaid Day celebration held at MQI Community Center, Dallas

A special ceremony marking the 68th birthday of the Leader and Founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was celebrated with fervor at Minhaj-ul-Quran Dallas today on Sunday, February 17, 2019, in a decorated Uways Al-Qarani auditorium of Minhaj-ul-Quran Community Center. The birthday ceremony was attended by all Minhaj-ul-Quran Sunday school students, along with their families, relatives and friends and other community members of DFW area.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by DFW award winner Hafiz and Qari Sameer Bhura, followed by recitation of Durood Shareef and Qaseeda Burdah Shareef by Sunday school students. On this occasion, Sunday school administrator Brother Iqbal Hasan paid rich tributes to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri for his amazing scholarly services and contributions in several fields, especially about the recent crown contribution of authoring Quranic Encyclopedia. Brother Iqbal further added that Allah chooses people to render a service to the Holy Quran. Quranic Encyclopedia is Shaykh-ul-Islam’s great scholarly, intellectual and religious service to Muslim Ummah. He said that we should benefit from the Encyclopedia to understand the message of our Creator.

To make the program more informative and to express great admiration and love for the beloved Shaykh-ul-Islam, a quiz was offered to all the attendees in particular to the students of Sunday school. Every student answering right was given the gift of candy twice. A blessed cake cutting ceremony was performed while the attendees were reciting Durood Shareef followed by a special Dua performed by Brother Syed Rasheed Akhtar for the long life and good health of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri. After the program, all the attendees were provided with lunch boxes and cake, and all students were given goody bags.
