Class-based educational system responsible for our national woes: Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Pakistan left backward due to class system of education - Dr Hussain Mohiuddin

President MQI Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that Pakistan has lagged behind and become backward because of the class-based educational system. He said that the multiple streams of education being followed in the country not only made it deviate from the path of progress but also encouraged the division of the nation into sects, factions and groups on religious, social and political lines.

Prof Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while addressing a reception hosted in his honour by Canada One TV. He said that the State of Pakistan has failed to live up to its constitutional stipulation to provide quality education to the members of the society. He said that ignoring the hundreds of thousands of students studying in religious seminaries has proven to be counterproductive. He said that the State should invest in building facilities for the modern education in the religious seminaries such as labs for computer sciences. He asked the State to provide patronage to these centers of learning for the sake of promotion of education.

President MQI said that the only solution to Pakistan’s different crises lies in the promotion of quality education. He also emphasized the need for blending religious and contemporary education to make students’ personalities wholesome.

Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that we are acting upon Shaykh-ul-Islam’s motto of ‘revolution through education and education for all’. He said that more than 600 educational institutions including a top-ranked national university have been set up in the light of the same vision. In reply to various questions of the participants, he said that unfortunately education never remained a priority for the ruling elite in Pakistan.

Badar Munir Chaudhry, the CEO of Canada One TV and senior journalist, extended his warm welcome to Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and commended the role of educational institutions under the banner of MQI in promoting enlightenment and awareness.
