Minhaj University organizes 2nd International Maritime Conference (IMC-2024)

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, attended the 2nd International Maritime Conference (IMC-2024) organized by the Centre of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs (CRIMA) at Minhaj University Lahore (MUL).

In his address, Ashraf praised Minhaj University Lahore, founded under the vision of Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, for its holistic approach to education, integrating religious and secular knowledge. He highlighted the university’s role in producing intellectually capable and morally grounded individuals who contribute positively to society.

Ashraf acknowledged Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors, for his instrumental role in advancing the university’s mission. Under Dr. Qadri's guidance, MUL has promoted inclusivity and diversity, establishing unique departments and centers dedicated to quality education.

In closing, Ashraf expressed hope that the conference would raise awareness about the urgent need for collective efforts to address maritime challenges. He commended MUL and CRIMA for their inclusive approach in bringing together professionals, academia, and business leaders to discuss and develop practical solutions to modern-day challenges.
