Annual Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference under MQI tonight

between the intervening night of the 11th and 12th of Rabi-al-Awwal

The 27th annual Mawlid-un-Nabi (S.A.W) Conference would be held today at Minar-e-Pakistan between the intervening night of the 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The arrangements of the Conference have been completed in this regard. Hundreds of thousands of people belonging to different sections of society and professions would attend the International Conference and convey the message that there is no greater happiness than the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and Islam is a religion of peace, love and harmony. Minhaj-ul-Quran International has been working hard to spread the love and respect for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in the world. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is known as ambassador of peace, harmony and human integration due to his services for these causes.

These views were expressed by Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, senior Deputy General of MQI and the head of Milad management committee, in a press conference at the Minar-e-Pakistan. Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, Jawad Hamid, G.M. Malik, Raja Jamil Ajmal, Shamim Numberdar, Sajid Bhatti, Irshad Tahir, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam and fifty heads of the sub-committees were also present on the occasion. Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz said that the significant role played by Minhaj-ul-Quran International for the spread of love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) has become its identity. He said that the chief highlight of the Conference is the keynote address of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The work of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on the subject would continue to benefit humanity for centuries to come.

Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz said that 50 administrative committees were set up to make all preparations. Five thousand youths of Mustafavi Students Movement and Minhaj Youth League would be deputed for security purpose inside and around the venue of the Conference at the Minar-e-Pakistan. He said that separate seating arrangements have been made for men and women. The camps have been set up at different entry points of Lahore to welcome the incoming caravans of people and guide them along the route.

Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz said that like the practice of the previous years, one thousand goats would be slaughtered and the Milad feast would be open for the general public from 7 pm to 9 pm. The program would be telecast live in over 90 countries of the world through internet. He said that hundreds of people would join MQI on the occasion. He said that rallies are being organized throughout the country to welcome the advent of the Rabi-ul-Awwal. He further said that the Durood recited at the Gosh-a-Durood during the last years would be sent on the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He said that those associated with MQI would hold feasts and decorate their houses to celebrate the occasion.

Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz said that international conference would project the true image of Islam being a peaceful religion and be a watershed against the forces of terrorism and extremism. He said that the conduct of Milad conferences in an age of depression, narrow-mindedness, and anxiety would be prove very fruitful to eliminate these negatives forces.
