Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) an ideal ruler: MQI

Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Amir of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has said that rule of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) is still a beacon of light for the establishment of an ideal, egalitarian and welfare society. He said that major reason responsible for our overall decline was due to our dissociation from our original values. He said that the country was confronted with challenges of various types.

Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani expressed these views while addressing a seminar organized to mark the martyrdom day of Hazrat Umar (RA) in Model Town today. He said that the nation would have to realize the gravity of the situation and entrust the task of leadership to a sincere and committed leader who has dedicated his life to their welfare and wellbeing. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was espousing the thought of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA). The 23rd of December would herald a new beginning for the country.

Syed Farhat Hussain Shah, Al-Haaj Allama Imdadullah, Mir Asif Akbar, Allama Habib Qamar Sialvi, Allama Tahir Zia, and Allama Ghulam Yasin Chishti also addressed the seminar. Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz said that message of martyrdom was that the nation needed to reconnect itself to its glorious past, imbibe values of that age and move forward to carve a respectable niche in the comity of nations. He said that Pakistani nation was in search of a leader who represented the qualities of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) and had the potential to steer the ship of the state out of unchartered waters. He said that arrival of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri would initiate a struggle for real democracy in the country.
