Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council to hold more than 100 Pegham-e-Imam Hussain Conferences

More than 100 Pegam-e-Imam Hussain Conferences would be held throughout the country during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council in which light would be thrown on the philosophy and message of the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). People will be persuaded to acquire Hussaini character and fight off such vices as lie, deceit, vice, obscenity and extremism.

Allama Sayyid Farhat Hussain Shah, central director of MUC, expressed these views while addressing the monthly meeting of the Ulama Council. Describing the broad contours of the subjects of the Conferences, Allama Farhat Hussain Shah said that in addition to highlighting the role Hazrat Imam Hussain played in warding off the greatest ideological danger posed to Islam, the issues of terrorism, extremism and challenges facing the Muslim Umma would come under discussion. He said that the martyrs of Karbla dedicated their life to the obedience of Allah and His Last Apostle (saw) and complied with their commands in letter and spirit. They imparted a message to Muslim Umma about how to live in the world. "The message of the great Imam is very relevant today and can help us overcome the mutual hatreds and sectarianism. Islamic civilization can be revived if we start implementing the message of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA)," he concluded.

Allama Muhammad Hussain Azad, Maulana Muhammad Usman Sialvi and Allama Asif Akber were also present on the occasion.
