Irfan-ul-Quran lectures continue with religious fervor across the country

The lectures on the Holy Quran continue to take place in different cities during the blessed month of Ramazan. People belonging to various walks of life are attending these lectures that are delivered by the scholars and graduates of Minhaj University and Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council. The scholars throw light on various aspects of the Quranic sciences in these lectures. The main point of their sermons is that if we work hard to train ourselves along the path of piety during the sacred month of Ramazan, there can be no greater reward for our efforts than this.

The Quranic lectures continue to take place at hundreds of the places under the banner of MQI Lahore chapter. Addressing a gathering in PP 55 area of Lahore, Allama Minhaj-ud-Din Qadri said that fasting is the best source through which we can win the pleasure of Allah Almighty. He said that it is the month when divine mercies rain down on earth, prayers are granted, Satan is shackled and the doors of Hell are closed. He said that the fortunate are those who have the blessings of this sacred month in their lives. He said that we must make the most of this month and enjoy its spiritual blessings. He referred to Hadith whereby the Holy Prophet (SAW) said that both fasting and the Quran will put in a word for the believer on the Day of Judgment. He said that we can become true Muslims by understanding the Holy Quran and acting upon its teachings. He further said that we can spend a satisfied and happy life by strengthening our bond with the Holy Prophet (SAW) and the holy Quran.

Hafiz Ghulam Farid, head of MQI Lahore chapter, presided over the programme. Muhammad Asghar Sajid, Muhammad Yaqoob Rehmani, Muhammad Asghar Ali, Saqib Bhatti, Shahid Latif Butt, Abdur Rauf Butt and Mian Adil were also present on the occasion.

In his speech, Hafiz Ghulam Farid said that it is Islam that gave world peace and tranquility. He said that recourse to the Holy Quran is among the ideals of MQI. He said that scholars of the Directorate of Dawah and Training and Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council are doing a great service through their efforts and contributions. He said that their efforts will lead to the promotion of positive values in society.

The scholars are delivering lectures on the subject of piety, understanding of the Holy Quran, nearness of Allah, and the finality of Prophethood in the union councils and PP areas throughout the Lahore district.
