Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri asks the youth not to accept online content blindly

Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said the enemies of Pakistan and Islam are negatively using the social media to mislead the youth. He asked the youth and the internet users not to believe in the content shared online without carrying our necessary research about its authenticity.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while delivering a speech on the topic of Social Media and Morality. He said that social media is awash with the material against the ideology of Pakistan, adding that the corrupt people are presented as heroes on digital and social media.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Noorullah Siddiqui, Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, Umar Qureshi, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Ayesha Mubasher and others also addressed the 20-day online social media training program.

Congratulating the Minhaj Youth League on arranging social media training workshop, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur asked the youth to reject the propaganda against Pakistan, Islam, and the national security institutions. He said the thousands of MYL activists are fighting the mischievous elements in digital space, for which we pay them our rich tributes.

Addressing the concluding ceremony, Secretary Information Noorullah Siddiqui said that social media is the most modern and effective means of communication of the present century. He said it is the age of social media, stating that every youth who has access to the internet can contribute his share to the unity, strength, and solidarity of the country. He said there is no denying the importance of modern means of communication including social media for the building of a peaceful and law-abiding society.

Central President MYL Mazhar Mahmood Alvi highlighted the importance of training the youth for the positive use of social media. He said social media is an important tool for getting an education, and the promotion of awareness and moral values. He said every internet user needs to be apprised of the ways in which he/she could positively use social media. He said MYL is playing its role in imparting crucial training to the youth as part of its youth development program.

Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Chaudhry Irfan Yousaf, Ayesha Mubasher, Mansoor Qasim Awan, Umar Qureshi, Sajid Hassan, Mohsin Mushtaq, and Haji Farrukh Khan also spoke on the occasion.
