COSIS hosts Milad feast at the central secretariat
A joint Milad gathering and feast was held at the central secretariat under the banner of College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences. COSIS students and teachers as well as the MQI leaders attended the gathering.
The proceedings of the event started off with the recitation of the holy Quran followed by Naat sharif. These gatherings will continue to take place until the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Addressing the ceremony, Director Training Prof. Mohibullah Azhar said that Uswa-e-Rasool (pbuh) teaches us to forget our mutual differences and promote brotherhood in a spirit of love. He said that staying away from what has been forbidden by the Prophet (pbuh) and acting upon the things that have been ordained is the best example of excellent conduct. He said that the prophetic teachings discourage class-based division and foster human brotherhood.
Mohibullah Azhar said that Seerat-un-Nabi (pbuh) is universal and we need to adopt it in our individual and collective life, for in it lies the secret to progress and peace. Those who attended the Milad feast included Director Administration MQI Jawwad Hamid, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Prof Mujeeb Malik, Sajjad Haider Shah, Allama Muhammad Akram, Zia-ul-Mustafa Al-Azhari, Prof Sajid Mahmood Al-Azhari, Prof Sabir Hussain Naqshbandi, Dr Sarwar Siddique, and others.
