Mass marriage ceremony to be held on March 20 under Minhaj Welfare Foundation

Minhaj Welfare Foundation collectie marriages will be held on March 20

A collective mass marriage ceremony will be held on March 20 in Lahore under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF). A six member special committee has been set up under the supervision of Brigadier retired Iqbal Ahmad Khan for the selection of deserving families.

Director MWF Syed Amjad Ali Shah, while briefing a meeting held under Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri will grace the mass marriage ceremony as the guest of honour. He said that the arrangements of the mega event are being completed for which various administrative committee are working hard.

Expressing his views on the occasion, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that it has become virtually impossible for the poor families to marry off their daughters in this day and age of massive inflation and historic price hike. He said that helping the deserving people is the greatest human service and a good deed. He said that we are indebted to Allah Almighty that we would be holding the 18th such ceremony of collective marriages in Lahore under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation.

The committees have been established under the leadership of Jawwad Hamid, Shahzad Rasool, Rana Muhammad Fayyaz, Umme Habiba Ismail, Ahsan Baba, Ayub Ansari, Tayyab Zia, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Shahid Iqbal Yousafi, and Rana Faisal Mahmood. The central committee consists of Engineer Muhammad Rafique Najam, GM Malik, Shahid Latif Qadri, Sidra Karamat, Sohail Raza, Haji Muhammad Amin Qadri, Saeed Shah, Abdur Rahman, Abdul Sattar Minhajian, Shafqat Nadeem and Khurram Shahzad.
