Lunch hosted in honour of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Amir Khawaja, president of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted a lunch in the honour of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in Manchester. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, prominent traders and business personalities attended the luncheon meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Pakistanis who are working overseas are great asset, as they play an important in shoring up the national economy through their remittances. He said that overseas Pakistanis are patriotic and feel the pain of their motherland is going through. He said that they are ever eager to play their part in the national development. He said that the coordination between chambers and strong business ties among the traders will boost economic cooperation.

Amir Khawaja thanked Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for sparing time for the luncheon meeting. He presented a souvenir to him on the occasion. He briefed Shaykh-ul-Islam about the working of PCCI and the range of economic activities.

Shaykh-ul-Islam congratulated Amir Khawaja for being elected president of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry UK. He said that this position represents confidence of the business community in his leadership. He hoped that Amir Khawaja will come up to their expectations.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is on a tour to the UK and is meeting MQI chapters as well as people belonging to different walks of life during his stay there.
