The 10 day Quran Learning Course concludes
The 10-day Quran Learning Course (Diploma in Quran studies course) held under the banner of the MQI Department of Courses came to an end. A ceremony was held at the conclusion of the course in which 300 men and women who completed the course were given certificates.
Addressing the ceremony, chief guest Justice (r ) Nazeer Ahmad Ghazi said that we are the luckiest of the people who were gifted with the Holy Quran as source of guidance till the Day of Judgment. He said that working to spread the message of the Holy Quran is a matter of great honour and blessing. He congratulated Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and MQI for working hard to promote the Quranic sciences in society.
MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said in his remarks that the Holy Quran is not only the source of enlightenment and guidance but all the sciences also emanate from this Divine Book. He said that there are great rewards not only in this world but also in the life hereafter for those who learn and teach the Holy Quran. He congratulated the Department of Courses on completing the ten-day course successfully.
Engineer Muhammad Rafique Najam said that the right way of paying reverence to the Holy Book is that it is read with correct pronunciation, understood and acted upon. He said that Shaykh-ul-Islam has made MQI the movement for the promotion of the Quranic message.
Director Courses Hafiz Saeed Raza Baghdadi said that the skill of reciting the Holy Quran with correct pronunciation is becoming extinct with time. He said that MQI has revived the science of “Qirat and Tajweed” under the patronage of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that more than 3 lac people have benefited from the courses offered by the Department.
The concluding ceremony was attended by MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Engineer Muhammad Rafique Najam, Saeed Raza Baghdadi, Prof. Nasir Mahmood, and Prof. Mahmood Masood.
