Ramadan is the Month of Renewing Faith: Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, stated that Ramadan is the month of renewing faith. He said that believers attain the blessings of Ramadan through worship, charity, and good deeds. This is the month in which the Holy Quran was revealed, and Allah has made fasting obligatory for every able Muslim.
He said that Ramadan is a month of spiritual renewal and forgiveness of sins, during which the gates of paradise are opened, the doors of hell are closed, and rebellious devils are chained.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views while addressing an intellectual gathering at the central secretariat in Model Town. He Qadri highlighted the significance of Ramadan by stating that it includes a night that is better than a thousand months of worship. Citing a Hadith, he said that a person who fails to seek forgiveness in this blessed month is truly unfortunate and deprived.
Dr Hassan further stated that Ramadan clearly distinguishes between faith and hypocrisy. While believers engage in worship, charity, and demonstrate good character, hypocrites, on the other hand, exploit the month through profiteering, hoarding, and deception, creating difficulties for those who fast. He emphasized that if the Muslim Ummah truly understands the mercy and blessings of Ramadan, they would wish for the entire year to be Ramadan.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri also stressed the importance of honoring the fast. He advised that a fasting person should keep their tongue, eyes, hands, feet, and thoughts pure and free from impurities.
