The True Benefit of Knowledge Lies in Character and Action: Dr. Mir Asif Akbar Qadri

Secretary General of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan, Dr. Mir Asif Akbar Qadri, said that if students live their lives with knowledge, character, and positive thinking, they can bring true prosperity to society. Islam has given knowledge the status of worship, but the real benefit of knowledge is realized only when it manifests in character, ethics, and action. Educated youth should play an active role in social welfare through their thinking, leadership, and service.
He expressed these views while addressing an intellectual session held at the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences. He stated that the students of the College of Shariah should emerge as a beautiful combination of religious knowledge and contemporary needs, guiding society with wisdom and competence.
Dr. Asif Akbar added that the purpose of such intellectual sessions is to cultivate awareness, self-confidence, and a spirit of research among students so they may not remain mere readers of knowledge but rise as reformers and thinkers. He emphasized that the younger generation must remain connected to moral values, academic integrity, and the spirit of goodness, for these elements form the foundation of a strong and effective society.
Dr. Mir Asif Akbar Qadri said that Islamic teachings place central emphasis on justice, love, tolerance, and service to humanity. When students truly understand the religion, they not only protect themselves from sectarianism, extremism, and negative tendencies but also convey the message of peace and fraternity to others. He further stated that the curriculum and educational system developed by Minhaj-ul-Quran is unparalleled and found nowhere else.
On this occasion, Principal of the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences Air Commodore (R) Abdul Ghafar, Dr. Allama Syed Iftikhar Bukhari, Prof. Malik Shabbir Ahmad, Allama Rana Akram, Qari Allah Bakhsh, and other faculty members were also present.
