Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri Congratulates the Muslim Ummah on the Start of Ramadan

Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri 75th Birthday Ceremony 2026

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the blessed commencement of Ramadan.

He expressed profound gratitude to Allah Almighty for granting believers yet another opportunity to benefit from the immense blessings and spiritual rewards of the sacred month of fasting. He stated that Ramadan arrives with the message of divine mercy, forgiveness, and salvation from the fire of Hell. He conveyed his warm congratulations to Muslims across the world on the arrival of this blessed month.

Shaykh-ul-Islam emphasized that Ramadan is a month of worship and spiritual discipline. It conveys not only the importance of fulfilling the rights of Allah but also the rights of fellow human beings. Fasting instills awareness of hunger and thirst, enabling individuals to empathize with the underprivileged and vulnerable members of society. This awareness, he noted, nurtures the values of selflessness, compassion, and generosity.

In his message, he further urged believers to use Ramadan as an opportunity to reflect upon their conduct, dealings, and relationships. If anyone’s rights have been violated, they should be restored; if injustices have been committed, forgiveness should be sought; and supporting those in need should become a personal priority. Promoting balance and justice in society through zakat, charity, and voluntary giving represents the true spirit of Ramadan.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri added that the essence of selflessness lies in prioritizing the needs of others over one’s own desires, allocating a share of one’s resources for the deserving, and strengthening social harmony. Such conduct, he said, lays the foundation for a strong, ethical, and united Ummah.

He prayed that Allah Almighty grant us the ability to observe the etiquettes of Ramadan, to properly fulfill both the rights of Allah and the rights of His creation, and to attain the stations of selflessness and piety. Ameen.
