Islamic Research & Training Institute and Islamic Development agree to collaborate with Minhaj University Lahore

Minhaj University Lahore is offering quality education in various disciplines such as Islamic law, Economics and Management Sciences, Islamic Economics, Business and Finance. This was stated by Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in a meeting held at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad, with executives/representatives of Islamic Research and Training Institute, and Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah.

Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri invited the delegates to pay a visit to Minhaj University Lahore. The representatives of Islamic Development Bank appreciated the services MUL was providing in imparting quality education in different disciplines. They took keen interest in its profile and said that it was no doubt one of the best universities of Pakistan. They expressed their desire to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Islamic Research and Training Institute, and IDB, Jeddah and Minhaj University Lahore. They also agreed upon bilateral collaboration. The proposed collaboration is likely to take place in disciplines of Islamic Finance by e-learning, scholarships for Masters, M-Phil and PhD degrees for the students of MUL, access to IRTI’s online lectures, international Workshops/Symposiums at MUL, Research grants for the researchers of MUL and all other facilities provided by IRTI.

Furthermore, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri hoped that following collaboration between the three institutions, the best human capital would be produced for Islamic Economics, Islamic Banking, Business and Finance that would be capable of meeting the needs of market and industry.

The delegates arrived at a consensus to establish strong and sustainable relations between Islamic Research and Training Institute, IDB, Jeddah and Minhaj University Lahore. The participants of meeting were Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Deputy Chairman Board of Governors of Minhaj University, Dr. Abd Elrahman Elzahi Saaid Ali, Islamic Research and Training Institute, Jeddah, Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Ismail, Islamic Research and Training Institute, and Mr. Abdul Ammar Mun’am, in-charge School of Islamic Economics, Business and Finance, SIEBF, Minhaj University Lahore.
