Entire system contradicts with the constitution: Qadri

ISLAMABAD: The chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that this parliament has deviated from the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the entire system of the country is in contradiction with the constitution of Pakistan.

Dr. Tahirul Qadri said that the people have come in the Inqilab March because this parliament has deviated from the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

These political parties do not care about the will of the people; political heads give tickets to the people who donate millions of rupees in party fund.

The PAT chief inquired the participants of the sit-in to answer are these representatives chosen by the people, or by the heads of the political parties.

He said a common man can never be given a ticket to contest the polls, for he does not have the huge amount to pay for it.

Dr Qadri said this entire system is in contradiction with the constitution of Pakistan.

He said that Islam preaches equality and urges every human to lead a dignified life in the society, but here the rulers have snatched away the basic rights of living from the people.

Tahirul Qadri asked the parliamentarians that the people they see at the sit-in are not nomads, they are the actual Pakistan.

He elaborated that a Pakistan comprising of a few families, is residing there in splendid palaces, and the other is encamped here at the D-Chowk.

He said such a massive sit-in has never been staged in the 65 years history of the country.

The PAT chief said the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has never given so much of his time to the parliament throughout his political carrier, which he gave during the ongoing joint session, while the government also faced the criticism by the opposition with great patience, adding “All this happened because of us, the rulers were never used to listening to something which they did not want”.
