MQI (Norway) celebrates the Quaid Day

On the occasion of the 67th birthday of the founder of MQI – Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway hosted an auspicious event on the 17th February in its secretariat in the capital of Norway – Oslo.

The evening was dedicated to Shaykh-ul-Islam´s personality, work and philosophy aimed at enabling the Muslim nation to rise up from its downfall. Undoubtedly many generations have benefitted from Shaykh-ul-Islam's lectures, literature and philosophical struggle. Today MQI Norway stands tall and is proud to be a part of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s mission to bring peace and tranquility on the globe.

Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran International London and global ambassador of MQI – Shaykh Sadiq Qureshi was the chief guest of the evening. Shaykh Qureshi, with his illuminating speech, reminded the audience how grateful they are to have Shaykh-ul-Islam as a role model, and that Shaykh-ul-Islam not only preached the real and beautiful picture of Islam, but also practiced it throughout his life.

The evening was filled with recitation of the Quran, nasheed, speeches and manqabat. Among the performers were Awais Saqib (MYL Norway), Yasin Saeed, Abdul Manan, Qari Ansar Ali (Imam MQI Oslo), Shaykh Iqbal Fani (director MQI Oslo) and sister Sajila Asghar (Minhaj Publications Norway). Host of the evening was senior member of MQI Oslo – Mr. Iftikhar Mahmood.

The event ended with dua, salam upon the Holy Prophet (saw) and dhikr of Allah Almighty. Our collective prayer is that Allah (swt) grants our guide and Shaykh a long and healthy life. It is indeed a favor of Allah that we are a part of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s and MQI´s revivalist services to the ummah and the mankind.
