The Companions were paragon of obedience of the Holy Prophet (pbuh): Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri
Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri attended a Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) gathering held under the banner of MQI Sweden and delivered a keynote speech on the occasion.
Speaking on the subject of "Obedience of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) in the light of the Quranic teachings", Shaykh Hammad Mustafa said that the Holy Companions obeyed the beloved Prophet (pbuh) at every step in their life. He said that they faced a test on the occasion of the transfer of the holy Kaaba, as Allah Almighty wanted to see who among the Companions followed the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri said that on the occasion of Hudaibiya reconciliation, Hazrat Usman (RA) was offered to pay a pilgrimage by the infidels of Makkah. He rejected the offer by saying that he would not do Umrah ahead of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). He cited another example of Hazrat Umar (RA) kissing Hajr-e-Uswad wherein the Caliph of Islam addressed the Hajr-e-Uswad and said, “You can neither cause me any harm nor benefit. If I had not seen the Holy Prophet (pbuh) kissing you, I would never have kissed you.”
Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani Al-Qadri said that we should live a life of obedience by taking a leaf from the blessed life of the Holy Companions, as this is the only purpose of life.
Those who attended the Milad gathering included Bilal Uppal, Babar Shafi, Mian Imran-ul-Haq, Ali Imran, Owais Ijaz, Syed Mahmood Shah, Dr Irfan Zahoor Ahmad, Hafiz Sajjad Ahmad, Shafqat Riaz, Hassan Bostan, Faisal Najeeb, Allama Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, the students of Minhaj School of Islamic Studies, their parents and teachers as well as representatives of the Pakistani community.
