Celebration of Milad Festival and Pakistan Day

Keeping in view the MQI’s unique tradition of celebration of the milad of the Holy Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) as a cultural event, PAK ALMIE CENTRE BREMEN GERMANY hosted a grand milad festival and Pakistan Day on 23rd March 2009. The event took place in Turkish cultural centre. The programme was well attended by a large number of Pakistani families in Bremen as well as a number of Turkish and Arbish families whose children are studying at Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre. The event was considered one of the best and larger in the history of Bremen. People appreciated the services of the newly arrived director Hafiz Iftikhar Ahmed and the rest of the management.

The director Hafiz Iftikhar Ahmed opened the ceremony with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by active participation of students in various activities like qiraat, naat, qaseeda burda sharif and speeches on milad and on Pakistan Day. Parents of the students were very happy and satisfied with their children's performance and pleased about the efforts of the new director in educating and training their children. Then famous guest naat khawans Haji Arshad and Qari Ashiq Husssain (from UK) warmed the hearts of the audience by kindling the remembrance of the beloved Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) in their unique styles.

Hafiz Muhammad Azad an alumni of MIU delivered a very absorbing speech and educated people about the commemoration of the birthday of the Holy Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) and the significance of the celebration of national days. He mentioned the great services of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for spreading the global message of love, peace, forbearance, harmony, cooperation and protection of human rights. Also, he highlighted the importance of MQI's Islamic centres established in all Europe for the revival of Islamic culture and values.

Chief guest Muhammad Jhalgai – the president of ISLAMIC SHURA COUNCIL, which manages almost 32 Islamic centres in BREMEN – in his speech admired the broad vision of MQI in gathering and uniting people for a great cause. "Only this way can we spread the true message of Islam in Europe. This is the requirement of the time to be so broad-minded and up-to-date on modern issues."

Chief guest Muhammad Jhalgai – the president of ISLAMIC SHURA COUNCIL, which manages almost 32 Islamic centres in BREMEN – in his speech he admired the vision of MQI in gathering and uniting people for a great cause. "Only this way can we spread the true message of Islam in Europe. This is the requirement of the time to be so broadminded and up-to-date on modern issues."

At the end of the programme, the management chiefly Abdul Khaliq Butt, Zafar Iqbal, Arshad Shakir, Malik Shah Jahan, Raja Akhtar and Riasat Cheema thanked people who helped make this event a great success.

When the function concluded, the participants were served with ziyaft-e-milad (dinner in connection with the birthday of the Prophet).
