Urdu Lecture: Alima Faiza Qadri

Nasheeds: The Sisters Nasheed Group

By the Blessings of Almighty Allah (swt) and His most beloved Rasul (saw) over 500 women both young and old gathered at the venue in the district of Smethwick, part of the great city of Birmingham, for the sake of pleasing Allah (swt).

This splendid programme began with a beautiful recitation of Holy Qur’an and many beautiful nasheeds/naats. Some of the sisters of the performers of the renowned nasheed group ‘Shaam’ recited nasheeds in Arabic, Urdu & English. The sisters were from an interesting mixture of backgrounds, including Arabic, English and Pakistani, Masha’Allah.

Both the Urdu and English lectures discussed the importance of Mawild-un-Nabi (Birthday of the Prophet (saw)) and the high status of the Prophet (saw).  The speakers also discussed the importance of following the sunnah (example) of the Prophet (saw) and learning about his seerah (biography).

Alhamdulliah many videos and books of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s lectures in English were purchased.  The programme appropriately came to an end with dhikr (remembrance) of Allah (swt) and salaat-us-salaam (invoking of blessings and peace) upon the Prophet (saw) and finally du’a (closing prayer).

We pray that Allah (swt) showers blessings upon the Smethwick team for all their hard work and efforts in propagating Islam and the mission of our beloved Sheykh-ul-Islam.  Ameen.
