USA: Programme on Mi'raj-un-Nabi (SAW) held in Dallas

Mi’raj-un-Nabi is a great gift for the Muslims. It was the most blessed journey of human history during the night of Ascent. Even to this date, human mind has failed to comprehend the essence of the ‘Miracle of Mi’raj'. It is the highest honor, which no other prophet or man ever had, bestowed to our beloved Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) to personally be in the company of Almighty Allah. With the concept of this perfect example of dignity and humility in the history of the human journey, Minhaj-ul-Quran USA Dallas Chapter was honored to commemorate the auspicious event on Mi’raj-un-Nabi (blessings and peace be upon him) in the beautiful Uways al-Qarani Auditorium of Jame' Hasan al-Basri & Minhaj-ul-Quran Community Center in Carrollton, Texas, on Sunday, May 25, 2014.People of different ages and from different walks of life attended the program to enlighten their hearts with the remembrance of Almighty Allah and His Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him).

The hall reached its maximum capacity of over 200 people, including men, women, and children. The program was started with the greetings and welcome by our respected Shaykh Abdul Basit al-Qadri al-Azhari. Everyone who was present there seemed to be spellbound by faith enlightening and revitalizing messages on the spiritual and metaphorical aspects and interpretation of Meraj un Nabi (blessings and peace be upon him), delivered by Shaykh Abdul Basit al-Qadri al-Azhari. A brief presentation about the extraordinary global work of Minhaj-ul-Quran was also given by the Shaykh.

The program started with the Qirat and translation by Faraz Rasheed, a youth brother of Minhaj Youth League Dallas, USA. Then a group of students, between the ages of 5-11, from the Quran classes of Jame' Hasan al-Basri recited the famous Qaseeda Burda Shareef under the guidance and training of Shaykh Abul Basit. Another group of young girls recited heart-touching durood shareef under the guidance of Sister Sadia Shakeel. Malik Akram Awan, a famous local naat reciter of the Dallas Fort-Worth area, also caught the attention of the crowd by his impassioned style of recitation. Chaudhry Ashraf presented an ardent poem on the Heavenly Journey of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him), in which the gift and reward of prayer was explained in an eloquent manner.

Imam Aseel from the Plano, Texas Mosque, the guest speaker, was welcomed by warm-hearted chants by the large number of people gathered at the event. He delivered a beautiful speech on the significance of Me'raj-un-Nabi and its message for the Muslim Ummah. CDs of the lectures of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri were distributed for free, and many books were also sold on this occasion at the Minhaj Book stall.The program ended by the recitation of salutations of peace on the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) by Maamoon Mian (a youth from Minhaj Youth League), Muhammad Habib and Sajid Choudhry, local naat reciters of the Dallas Fort-Worth area, and dua by Shaykh Abdul Basit al-Qadri al-Azhari. The event was a big success thanks to everyone who helped.
