USA: 5th Annual Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ Ceremony was held under MQI Dallas

Why do we celebrate Milad-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him)? Among many reasons, one is that when we recite nasheed in the praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, it creates a spiritual attachment and passion inside us. With that passion, a fountain of love emerges as we listen to the nasheed. And when we talk about the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his life, good deeds and how he came as mercy to mankind, then a second fountain emerges, the fountain of Ittiba, the following of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. The two fountains emerge by celebrating the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Our Iman becomes perfect when we have both the love of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and his Sunnah to follow.

To convey this message of Minhaj-ul-Quran, the Women League of Minhaj-ul-Quran Dallas organized a beautiful Milad-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) program on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Uways al-Qarani Auditorium of Minahj-ul-Quran Community Center Dallas. An impressive number of sisters from the Dallas-Fort Worth area attended the program from far and near.

The program had two MCS, Sister Madeeha and Fatima, who coordinated the program very well with expressions of the significance of celebrating Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ. After the beautiful recitation of Sura Ad-Duha by Minahj Youth League coordinator Mariyah Qazi and translation by Evren Khan, Sunday School students and Minahj Youth League sisters presented Qaseeda burdah Shareef and nasheed in the praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

Several spiritual uplifting nasheeds were recited by Sisters Asma, Ramsha, Anjum, Lena, Anam and Salima which kept the audience enthralled during the program. The Minhaj Women League President, Sr. Riffat Qazi, delivered an inspiring speech on the Khalq (physical beauty) and Khuluq (Morals) of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Furthermore, Sr. Riffat give several examples to the audience about how we can reform our morals (Khuluq). The lecture material was taken from Shaykh-ul-Islam’s lecture on Day 2 of Itikaf 2018. Stalls of the CDs and books of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri were set up on the occasion. The program concluded with salam in chorus and dua by Sr. Naheed and Safia. Meal boxes, gifts and goody bags were distributed among the participants at the conclusion of the program.
