...of 600 pages. Tahir-ul-Qadri an influential Muslim Scholar from the Hanafi School of thought is to publish a 600 page international fatwa (religious ruling/opinion) which dissects point by point the rhetoric of groups like Al-Qaeda, and the Taliban and shows that non of their practices or dogmas are compatible with Islam. Tahir-ul-Qadri enjoys a huge global following however until recently has been relatively unknown in the UK.

The document also challenges would-be suicide bombers on their religious motivation and shows that none of their afterlife promises have a basis in Islam. Shahid Mursaleen a spokesman for Minhaj-ul-Quran a NGO set-up by Tahir-ul-Qadri said: ''Extremist groups based in Britain recruit the youth by brainwashing them that they will be rewarded in the next life...Dr Qadri's fatwa has removed this key intellectual factor from their minds''

Minhaj-ul-Quran is now actively targeting Muslim youth globally which Mr. Qadri says have been let down by traditional leaders.
