UK: MWL (Burnley) shows solidarity with people of Pakistan

On 11th May 2014, the Minhaj Women League (Burnley) held a gathering of sisters to show their support for the 11th May Nationwide public protest held in Pakistan under the leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

The programme was held to show solidarity with Shaykh-ul-Islam. The purpose of holding protest demonstrations was to awaken the people of Pakistan about their constitutional rights. The poor are getting poorer while ruling class are prospering. Our struggle is not against a certain party but a corrupt system. The gathering was to mark ‘Iqaamah’ which is standing ready for prayer. Shaykh-ul-Islam addressed the people of Pakistan with a clear vision for the future of Pakistan and a comprehensive outline for new system. The sisters attending the programme listened to the address of Shaykh-ul-Islam. They also did recitation of the Holy Quran and recited Darood Sharif. They prayed for success of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s mission.
