Says rulers awarding contracts to their favourites and earning commissions

JHANG - Criticising the PML-N leaders for awarding contracts of big projects to their favourites and receiving commissions thereof, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said Wednesday the rulers cheated the flood victims by distributing fake cheques among them and earned cheap publicity.

He said this caravan would take to task those exploiting the rights of poor masses.

Qadri criticised the PML-N government saying it did not help but only cheated the flood victims and distributed fake cheques among them for cheap publicity.

He said cheques were given to flood victims to shut their mouths.

"If government did not wish to give flood victims money, why did it deceive them? Rulers should be sent to jail under clause 420," he said.

He said cruel rulers were over billing the poor people in electricity bills.

“The rulers are exploiting the rights of farmers who are the back bone of this country. The rulers, instead of giving them more facilities, snatching their basic rights.”

“If the farmer of the country prospers the country will prosper in turn, but unfortunately our leaders have forgotten this golden principle,” he said.

Qadri said for their personal interests, rulers had caused a big harm to the economy of the country.

“They are awarding contracts of big projects to their favourite contractors and earning commission from them. These rulers have pushed Pakistan into darkness.”

The PAT chief said for public there was nothing except despair.

“To change the fate of the country, we have made our entry in politics. I shall not take rest till a change in the fate of the country. With the support of masses I shall do it soon,” he maintained.
