MWL (Bolton) observes 10th of Muharram

On Sunday the 25th October 2015 MWL Bolton held a Sayyida Zainab (AS) Conference at Masjid-ul-Aqsa on Gilnow Road. This also coincided with the Islamic date of 10th of Muharram, the saddest day in the history of Islam. On arrival, all the sisters recited Durood for twenty minutes.

The Conference commenced with Sister Akifa Habib reciting the holy Quran with translation from Irfan-ul-Quran rendered by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri.

Following this, two beautiful Manqabats were recited melodiously by sisters Sennia Ahmed, Fiza Ahmed, Abiha Sultan and Tahrim Sultan. Sister Sajida Bibi then delivered English speech who spoke about the real story behind Karbala and why our Beloved Imam (AS) refused to give allegiance to the tyrant Yazeed. The English speech was very informative for the youngsters present.

We had a special Guest Speakers Sister Saima Andleeb (MWL Nelson Dawah Secretary) and Sister Ghulam Fatima (MWL Nelson President). Sister Saima Andleeb delivered an inspirational speech about Sayidda Zainab (AS). Her words were very meaningful and touching. Every single word was understood and felt by all the Sisters. The tragedies she reminded us of brought tears to all the sisters' eyes. A beautiful manqabat was also presented by Sister Ghulam Fatima. MWL Bolton is grateful that the two sisters travelled from Nelson to Bolton to participate in the conference.

The Conference came to an end by a heartfelt Dua by Sister Khalida Ahmed (MWL Bolton Dawah Secretary). A special Salaam was recited upon the Martyrs of Karbla by all the sisters. Snacks were served to all the Sisters. Over thirty sisters attended the event, including many Minhaj ul Quran members and other sisters of all ages.
