Dallas (Texas): 65th birthday of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri celebrated
Offering thanks for a blessing means to express one’s happiness, gratitude, and appreciation for the value of the blessing that is bestowed upon us by Almighty Allah. Almighty Allah increases His blessings on those people who offer thanks to Him. Almighty Allah says:
“With a special favor from us. In the same way, we give reward to him who gives thanks.” (Surah al-Qamar, 54:35)
Being among those who give thanks is a sign of one’s proximity to Almighty Allah and His Prophet (SAW).
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the ambassador of peace, is a living evidence of the fact that the Beloved Messenger of Allah SAW showers his blessings upon the Ummah by way of keeping his ardent lovers among us who receive the bounty of spiritual light from him and spread it among the fellow human beings everywhere on earth.
This was the theme of the speech delivered by Minhaj Youth League Coordinator, Mobeen Mian, on this very blessed occasion of Youm-e-Tashakur, celebrated on the 65th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at Jame’ Hasan al-Basri & Minhaj-ul-Quran Community Center Dallas, Texas USA.
The early part of the program included Qirat, nasheed and short speeches. Spreading the knowledge of faith is a prophetic task which Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is fulfilling for the Muslim community. On this occasion, the President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Dallas, Dr. Mansoor Mian, also addressed the audience about the significance of obtaining knowledge, with the reference to the recent Majalis ul-Ilm lecture series of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Dr. Mansoor Mian mentioned how Almighty Allah raised every prophet with the knowledge for mankind. The first Messenger, Prophet Adam (AS), was endowed with knowledge when he was sent to this world. Almighty Allah said:
“And Allah taught Adam the names of all (things),” (Al-Baqara, 2:31)
Almighty Allah showed the greatness of knowledge to the angels and commanded them to prostate and submit to the greatness of Prophet Adam (AS). Hence, when prophethood was sealed with the Holy Prophet (SAW), then Almighty Allah made the Qur’an, revealed to the Holy Prophet (SAW) the source, centre and embodiment of knowledge. Knowledge was the title of the first five verses of Sura al-Alaq, (96:1-5), which were revealed to the Holy Prophet (SAW) in the Cave of Hira.
This beautiful program ended with the remembrance of Almighty Allah (Dhikr) conducted by Imam Noori Saheb, Salam, an inspirational dua for the healthy and long life of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, and supplication to the rapid progress of mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran all over the world.
