Cases registered against Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri are fake: PAT Spokesperson

A spokesperson of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has said that a fake case of torture on the police officer was registered against Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, which we condemn in the strongest possible words. He said that the police officials who killed the innocent citizens in Model Town on June 17 and injured around 100 people were seen around the world on TV screens but no action has been taken against them despite passage of two years. He said that what to speak of action, they were even given promotion.

The spokesperson said that the political workers were mercilessly tortured, fired at and tear-gassed on the night of August 30-31 in Islamabad but the perpetrators of those crimes have not been brought to justice. He said that the cases registered against Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri are fake, adding that we demand that they should be taken back.

Khawaja Amir Fareed Koreja said that there is a dual law in the country during the incumbency of the Sharif brothers. He said that on the one hand, those taking lives of innocent people are given promotion, whereas vindictive action is taken against the officers who act according to law and the Constitution. He said that example of SSP Muhammad Ali Nekokara and IG Aftab Cheema is for everyone to see. He said that Rana Abdul Jabbar and Dr Tauqir Shah are still drawing hefty salaries. He said that they are the evil characters who did not show any humanity and tortured old people with white beards.
