Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RA) spread real spirit of spiritualism in sub-continent: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad-ul-Qadri, the founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has said that Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RA) who is famous by the name of Data Ganj Bakhsh was a blessed human being. He said that Data sahib played a key role in spreading the real message of spiritualism. He said that whosoever studies his renowned book ‘Kashf ul Mahjoob’ with sincerity of purpose, all of the blinders on his eyes will be removed and the dirt on his heart will be dusted off. He said that Hazrat Ali Hajvairi (RA) spent every moment of his life in the service of humanity and in love of Allah Almighty and His Prophet (SAW). ‘It is for this reason that his shrine continues to be frequented by hundreds of thousands of the faithful despite passage of 900 years,’ he added.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while talking to office bearers of Minhaj Ulama Council. He said that the people would flock to Data Sahib’s gatherings irrespective of any discrimination of caste, creed and colour and enlighten their heart with the light of knowledge and love. He said that Data sahib spent his life in gathering and disseminating real knowledge that benefitted humanity. He said that the great Sufi-saint spread the message of Allah’s Oneness. He said that theory of spiritualism as propounded by Data sahib corresponds to that of the early Muslim Sufis, adding that he led from the front in popularizing Islamic message of peace, love and interfaith harmony in the sub-continent.

The MQI leader paid rich tributes to the Sufis and said that they were personification of goodness, morality and piety and always made their character the pivot of attracting people. He said that no Sufi ever gave a Fatwa of ‘kufr’ in 1400 year old history of Islam. He said that they believed in respect for humanity, truth and love. He said that they never differentiated between people on the basis of their religion, caste and color. He said that people were not killed in the name of religion during the period of Sufis. He said that essence of knowledge is that it brings the learner near to Him and one which does not do it is not knowledge.
