Pope writes letter of Eid greetings to Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri

Christian leader, Father Francis Nadeem, met with the founding leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri at his residence and delivered the letter written by Pope of Rome extending Eid greetings. He expressed best wishes for Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri. At that occasion, the Director Minhaj-ul-Quran Interfaith relations, Sohail Ahmad Raza; the Sikh leader, Professor Sardar Kalyan Singh, Father Inayat Bernard, Rev. Samuel Nawab, Swami Sarva Bhouma and Pandit Bhagat Lal were also present.

The representatives of all religions congratulated the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Eid and they appreciated the national and international role played by MQI in the promotion of interfaith harmony and global brotherhood. The Christian leaders noted that the peace and harmony between Islam and Christianity were the need of hour. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri appreciated the sentiments of harmony expressed in the letter written by Pope of Rome and termed the interfaith dialogue as the pressing need of time.

Director Interfaith Relations, Sohail Ahmad Raza observed while thanking the leaders of all religion for their participation that the people of Pakistan respect all religions and the leaders from all religions were playing commendable role in the promotion of tolerance and harmony among the religions.
