Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri links rise of Muslims to research & knowledge

Chairman of MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the enemies of Islam are exploiting the internal divisions and differences within the Islamic world. He said that we will have to learn lessons from the example of Islamic brotherhood for the revival of Islam. He said that Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan are in a state of war due to mutual differences of the Muslims. He said that secret of success not only in this world but also in the hereafter lies in complete and unconditional obedience of the Holy Prophet (SAW), demonstration of superior moral conduct and the acquisition of knowledge.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said this while talking to people belonging to different walks of life who met him during his visit to Jhelum, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, and Murree. The PAT and MQI workers were also present on this occasion. Fayyaz Warraich, Rana Muhammad Idrees, Syed Ibrar Sarwar, Zafar Iqbal Tahir, and Allama Jamil Ahmad Zahid were in attendance of the meeting as well.

Dr Hassan said that after internal dissentions, terrorism and extremism has done an irreparable damage to the body politic of the Muslim world. He asked the Muslims to pay attention to the need of unity and the acquisition of modern technology, adding that we have abundant natural and human resources but lack the basic vision to utilize them to our collective advantage has inflicted huge cost on us. He said that only those nations are leading the world today that are self-sufficient in the knowledge creation and production of technology. He said that the first commandment Allah Almighty gave to the mankind in the Holy Quran related to ‘getting knowledge’.

The MQI leader said that as long as the Muslims excelled in knowledge and science and technology, they remained ascendant politically and economically but when they ignored this most important duty, they have become subservient and beholden to others.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the Holy Prophet (SAW) gave the charter of human rights to the humanity and educated them about different sets of rights and responsibilities. He said that even the rights of the animals were clearly spelled out. He said that since we have deviated from the path of our religion and the forefathers, we probably think that the human civilization took birth in Europe, stating that there is no truth in this presumption from historical and intellectual point of view. He said that the west got the concept of human rights and superior moral conduct from the Muslim scientists, thinkers and scholars.

Dr Hassan further said that the MQI is a revivalist movement. He said that the thought of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has addressed every walk of life. He said that the MQI has provided guidance to the youth in this age of turbulence, stating that it is for this reason that they consider the association with MQI the path of welfare. He further said that the MQI is campaigning relentlessly against terrorism, extremism and radicalism.
