Ramadan an opportunity for a resent in life: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the holy month Ramadan is round the corner. He said that we have to decide how we want to benefit as much as we can from the blessings of this month and enrich our life with the spirituality. He said that it is the month that gives us a golden opportunity to reset our lives through a stock-take, stating that worship performed in this month enables us to get near to the teachings of our faith. He said that Ramadan is a great refresher course of 30 days, stating that we should make arrangements to welcome this month and vow to use it as an opportunity to rewind and re-energize our lives.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while addressing a ‘Welcome Ramadan Conference’ held at the central secretariat under the banner of Directorate of Resources and Development yesterday. Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Shahid Latif, Haji Amin-ul-Qadri, Malik Muhammad Saleem Awan, Rashid Bajwa, Asif Sulehriya Advocate, Muhammad Saleem Butt, Talat Ahmad Zameem, Hanif Sabri, Rana Shakeel, Rana Jamil Ahmad, Mian Umar Mahmood, Engineer Muhammad Umar, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Sheikh Muhammad Hanif, Jamil Yousafi, Iqbal Doager, Malik Shameem Numberdar and a large number of people belonging to different walks of life attended the Conference.

The Chairman Supreme Council said that the month of mercy and blessings is about to start in a few days. He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) described Ramadan as the month of mercy, forgiveness, and salvation from hell. He said that it is a month that teaches us the values of sacrifice and selflessness, stating that empathy and sharing the happiness and sorrows of others have a special relationship with this month. He said that Ramadan has a special importance in understanding the philosophy of faith and benevolence.

Speaking at the Conference, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that making an effort to get the underprivileged sections of society from the life of hardships is also one of the important objectives of Ramadan. He said that making a vow to play one’s role in elimination of extremism, terrorism, corruption, lawlessness, poverty, and economic backwardness of the people is the responsibility of every believer. He said that with the sighting of the moon, we should stretch our hands out before our Lord, seek His special mercy on us and pray for our physical and spiritual well-being.

Shahid Latif, in his speech at the occasion, said that Ramadan is the best month for self-accountability. He said that the fasting is the best worship for purification of heart provided its requirements are fulfilled.

MQI leader Amin-ul-Qadri said that with the arrival of Ramadan, there is a feeling of festivity and happiness all around. He said that life becomes hugely disciplined in this month. He said that Ramadan is the best month to understand the philosophy of faith and benevolence.

PAT leader Asif Suleharya Advocate said that Ramadan should be declared as load-shedding free and the steps should be taken to control price hike. He said that the rulers have the habit of spending money on their publicity in the name of Ramadan package, which should not happen. He said that those who create artificial price hike to fill their pockets should be brought to justice and meted out exemplary punishments. He said that the recent hike in dearness should be taken back.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri gave away different to distinguished people on their services in their respective fields.
