Honesty & human welfare core concept of Islam: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that tolerance and moderation are the distinctive attributes of the Muslim school of thought and construction of an ideal society is not possible in terms of character by ignoring these excellent human Islamic values. He said that saving the Muslim Umma from factionalism and keeping it united is the religious and moral duty of the religious scholars. He said that in addition to economic, political and social attacks, the Muslim world is also facing cultural and ideological offensive. He said that acquisition and study of real teachings of Islam guarantees the right path. He said that intolerance, an extremism are the biggest hurdle in the way of peace, solidarity and the unity among the Umma.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri further said that Itikaf City set up by the MQI is the centre for imparting of knowledge, spiritual peace and moral training. The participants of Itikaf dedicate themselves to Allah Almighty by renouncing their worldly commitments and cultivate the relationship of love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for ten days. He said that overwhelming participation in Itikaf consists of the youth, which is a matter of satisfaction. He said that imbuing the youth with the Mustafavi revolution is the purpose of his life.

The PAT Chairman said that honesty and human welfare are fundamental values of Islam, which make it an ideal code of conduct. He said that the people belonging to all classes and creeds benefit from the Islamic welfare concept without any discrimination.

Thousands of men, women and children are participating in Itikaf under the MQI. Separate arrangements have been made for women. Likewise, hundreds of children are also part of this ten-day spiritual retreat for which special arrangements for spiritual and moral training are in place. Different zones have been set up for different districts in which the scholars of the Minhaj-ul-Quran deliver talks and lectures on the Quran round the clock.
