MQI working for promotion of interfaith dialogue & understanding: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur

A delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council called on PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur at the central secretariat in Lahore under the leadership of Allama Imdadullah Qadri.

Talking to the religious scholars, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the Ulama have an important role to play in promoting peace, harmony and brotherhood iin the society. He said that there is a dire need to promote tolerance and moderation, adding that the MQI wants an end to a culture of discord, divide and sectarianism. He said that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri set up the Ulama Council to bring the religious scholars belonging to all schools of thought under one umbrella and initiate a concerted effort for an interfaith dialogue and creating harmony in the world through discussions. He said that we have to take the mission of inclusivity forward and expose those who are undermining our shared values and commonalities.

Syed Farhat Hussain Shah, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Allama Usman Sialvi, Allama Ghulam Asghar Saddiqi and others were part of the delegation.
