MQI Lahore takes out procession to welcome Rabi-ul-Awwal

Led by MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, MQI Lahore took out a procession to welcome the beginning of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The procession started off from Mughalpura chowk and concluded at Crown marriage hall after passing through various locations. Thousands of people including women belonging to various of life attended the procession. They were chanting slogans to welcome the holy month and offering greetings and salutations on the holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Addressing the procession, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught humanity how to live in peace and with love. He (peace and blessings be upon him) had a special love and affection for the poor and the downtrodden. In addition to prescribing the charter of human rights, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also spelled out rights for the animals as well and ordered Muslims to be kind to the animals. He said our salvation not only in this world but also in hereafter lies in acting upon the teachings of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri congratulated Muslims around the world on the beginning of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. He said we renew our faith by celebrating the holy month befittingly. He said MQI has been lighting the candles of love, peace and interfaith harmony in the world. He said the 36th International Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ conference will be held at the historic Minar-e-Pakistan on the intervening night of 11th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Engineer Rafique Najam, Noorullah Siddiqui, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, and Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal were also part of the procession. The people expressed their extreme pleasure and showered rose petals on the procession as it passed through different areas. Naat khawan continued to recite Naat along the route of the procession. The children wearing Arabic dresses were drawing the special attention of the people.

The leaders of MQI Lahore chapter, Shahbaz Hussain Bhatti, Aslam Pervez, Haji Farrukh, Sanaullah Khan, Hafizullah Javed, Haji Arshad, Pir Syed Inam Gillani, Chaudhry Aslam, president traders union Chaudhry Manzoor Hussain, Chaudhry Azhar, Pir Syed Gulzar Shah Kazmi, Mian Akhlaq Ahmad Gaddoo, Haji Abdul Khaliq Qadri, Tariq Altaf, and Javed Mustafa.
