Hundreds of people set to join Itikaf City

Itikaf City, the annual mega event that is held during the last ten days of Ramazan every year under the banner of MQI, has been set up. Thousands of people from across Pakistan and abroad will join the City. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will deliver his special lectures on the subject of "Taharat al-Qulub" (Purification of the heart) through video link.

Sharing details about the Itikaf 2022, Jawwad Hamid, secretary of the administrative committee, said that all arrangements have been put in place for the facilitation of the people. He said that it is essential for the residents of Itikaf City to bring their corona vaccination card. He said that stringent security arrangements have also ben made.

Jawwad Hamid said that the services of the expert cooks have been acquired to prepare meals for Sehr and Iftar in line with the health guidelines. He further said that medical aid will also be available 24/7 under the care of qualified doctors.

Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din will also give speeches in the Itikaf City. Arrangements have also been made for 2000 female participants.

Jawwad Hamid said that Itikaf is the practice of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and has great spiritual reward. He said that it provides a unique opportunity to purify one's heart and reform one's conduct.
