MQI Central Punjab sets up 200 more flood relief camps

All forums of MQI Central Punjab have set up flood relief camps at more than 200 places for the rescue and relief of the flood victims as part of a campaign under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation. MQI continues to be at the forefront of rescue and relief activities. Its workers are present in the flood affected areas and providing much needed help to the people facing the worst ever natural calamity.

The cities in which MQI Central Punjab established their offices are in are Lahore, Sheikhupura, Muridkay, Nankana sahib, Pattoki, Kasur, Gujranwala, Daska, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Mandi Bahuddin, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Samandri, Sahiwal and Okara.

Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, naib Nazim-e-Aala, made these remarks during his visit to the flood relief camps. He said that after the flood water recedes, a more daunting challenge will be the rehabilitation of the damaged infrastructure and houses. He said that all forums of MQI are taking part in rescue and relief activities. He asked the nation to donate generously for our brothers and sisters facing the ordeal of floods.

Rana Idrees Qadri further said that with thousands of acres of crops washed away and hundreds of thousands of cattle-heads perished, the people have been deprived of their means of livelihood. He said that helping the flood victims is our moral, religious and national responsibility. He said that hundreds of thousands of the flood-affected people are waiting for our help.

Rana Idrees Qadri said that the distribution of milk, drinking water, food ration, tents, medicines and cash is taking place in the flood affected areas under the banner of MQI. He said that the medical teams of Minhaj Welfare Foundation are touring the flood affected areas to treat patients.
