Shuyukh al-Azhar visit Minhaj University Lahore

Dr Ibrahim Salih al-Sayyid Sulayman al-Hudhud, former President of the world renowned Al-Azhar University and Sayyid Ahmad Mahmood Hassan (al-Azhar Mosque, Egypt), visited Minhaj University Lahore (MUL). Deputy Chairman, Board of Governors of MUL, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri warmly welcomed the honorable guests and showed him around the various departments of the University.

In his meeting with Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in his office after the visit, Dr Ibrahim Salah praised the standard of learning and facilities of MUL and said that Muslims need such an honorable and quality institution. He said that they were greatly impressed by the services and contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri covering almost all walks of life. He said that his contributions are a great treasure that will continue to benefit the seekers of knowledge in times to come. He said that MQI’s services for the promotion of peace and interfaith harmony are praiseworthy.

Shaykh Ahmad Mahmood Hassan Sharif said in his comments on the occasion that MQI under the leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has rendered incredible service for the promotion of knowledge and bridge-building between the various cultures and faiths from the platform of MQI. He said that he is happy to notice that the educational system and institutions working under MQI are similar to Al-Azhar University.

After the meeting, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri presented his books to both the guests as gifts. They appreciated the management and the quality of instructions imparted by the University and congratulated Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri for his leadership as the deputy chairman of Board of Governors.

Vice-Chancellor MUL Dr Sajid Mahmood Shahzad and Registrar Dr Khurram Shahzad presented souvenirs to the visiting guests at the end.
