Itikaf is a life-changing opportunity: Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Addressing the Friday congregation at Itikaf City being held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, President MQI Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that Allah Almighty awakens the love of humanity and religion in the hearts of those He endows with the light of guidance. He said that the rightly guided people become bored with the life of luxury and pleasure and these are the very people who are known in the world for their role in the establishment of peace, and the adoption of the obedience of Allah’s commandments and piety and welfare of the people.

Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Allah Almighty has promised great rewards for such people on the Day of Judgement. He said that a person who follows the commands of Allah considers this worldly life to be temporary, meant only for preparing for the life of hereafter, which is everlasting; he spends his time in earning his livelihood through permissible means, spends it on the well-being of the people around him and protects himself from the sins. He said that for such people there are glad tidings of paradise.

President MQI said that we are lucky to be blessed with the holy month of Ramadan and the last ten days of Itikaf, therefore, it is only befitting that we use these life-changing opportunities to reset the direction of life. He said that we should vow to make the truth, piety and fear of Allah the part and parcel of our lives before these precious moments pass. He said that some people become the incarnation of fear of Allah, adding that it is these people who are successful in the world hereafter and bless them with His special mercy.
