Bahrain: Prof Dr Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri Warmly Received at King Hamad Global Center; Honored for Contributions to Interfaith Harmony
On the directives of His Royal Highness and the Prime Minister’s Office, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri was warmly received by Dr. Ali Al-Aradi, Vice Chairman of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence and Tolerance, at the Center’s headquarters in Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting took place in a warm, cordial and highly constructive environment.
Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri briefed Dr. Al-Aradi on Minhaj-ul-Quran International’s global reach and its pioneering contributions spanning more than four decades in promoting peace, interfaith and intra-faith harmony, counter-extremism narrative, educational reforms, humanitarian work, and international dialogue.
A comprehensive set of peace-oriented academic publications and literature was presented. These included the renowned works of His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, which were deeply appreciated. Among the books handed over were:
“Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings”
Additional scholarly works on peace curriculum, moderation, coexistence, and interfaith dialogue.
Further, details of Minhaj University Lahore, its academic programs, postgraduate research in comparative religions, and the International Conference on World Religions were also shared.
During the discussions, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri expressed sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality and exceptional friendliness of the people and officials of Kingdom of Bahrain. He particularly thanked His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their visionary leadership in steering Bahrain as a model of peaceful coexistence, pluralistic values, intercommunity acceptance, and practical tolerance. He acknowledged that Bahrain stands today as a global reference and a living example of how diverse societies can coexist in mutual respect and harmony.
Dr. Al-Aradi and accompanying dignitaries expressed deep admiration for MQI’s scholarly peace contributions and spoke highly of His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, MQI, and Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri.
As a gesture of appreciation and goodwill, a shield of honor and commemoration was presented to Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri by Dr. Ali Al-Aradi on this occasion.
The meeting concluded with mutual interest in exploring long-term collaboration between Minhaj-ul-Quran International and the Center, built upon shared humanitarian values and a shared vision of fostering peace, coexistence, and global harmony.
