Address at the Friday Congregation at Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam, Model Town

President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, addressed the Friday congregation at Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam. In his address, he shed detailed light on the spiritual, faith-based, and intellectual grandeur of Miraj-un-Nabi ﷺ. He stated that the Event of Miraj represents the pinnacle of humanity’s journey toward certainty. This magnificent journey transcends knowledge and observation, culminating in the highest station of 'Haqq-ul-Yaqeen' (Absolute Certainty).

Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Miraj-un-Nabi ﷺ imparts the lesson of a strong bond between the servant and the Lord, founded upon obedience and spiritual elevation, and that the practical manifestation of this bond is prayer (Salat). He emphasized that Miraj-un-Nabi ﷺ delivered a clear message to the Muslim Ummah: religious, moral, and social reform begins with steadfast observance of prayer.

Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri stated that prayer is not only a means of individual spiritual training but also the foundation of social order, moral purity, and collective reform. Therefore, the message of Miraj is only complete when prayer is performed regularly and its inner spirit is truly understood.

He further explained that Miraj-un-Nabi ﷺ was not merely a journey, but the ultimate summit of faith, wherein Allah Almighty bestowed upon His Beloved ﷺ a level of closeness, divine knowledge, and certainty that has never been granted to any other being in human history.

The President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International elaborated that there are three fundamental stages in the development of human faith and knowledge: Ilm-ul-Yaqeen (knowledge-based certainty), Ain-ul-Yaqeen (certainty through direct witnessing), and Haqq-ul-Yaqeen (absolute experiential certainty). When a person learns truths through the company of the righteous and the saints of Allah, his knowledge—though acquired through hearing—becomes free from doubt, which is Ilm-ul-Yaqeen.

He added that when Allah grants a servant spiritual unveiling or direct witnessing, the individual sees with his own eyes the realities he had previously known through knowledge alone; this is Ain-ul-Yaqeen. Haqq-ul-Yaqeen is the highest level of certainty, wherein a person not only knows and observes the truth but experiences it fully, allowing it to permeate his entire being.
Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri stated that for ordinary people—and even for the friends of Allah—the state of Haqq-ul-Yaqeen regarding the realities of Paradise and Hell is generally attained only after death; in this world, they remain limited to observation.

He highlighted that the greatest uniqueness of the Event of Miraj is that Allah Almighty, for the first time, granted the Holy Prophet ﷺ the exalted station of Haqq-ul-Yaqeen during his physical life, a distinction bestowed upon no other creation.

Citing a Hadith of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, he said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ described his unparalleled status in these words:

“I am not like you; my Lord Himself feeds me and gives me drink.”

He concluded the address by stating that where the perfection of the universe and the realm of 'Ain-ul-Yaqeen' reaches its limit, the exalted ranks of the Holy Prophet ﷺ begin. Miraj-un-Nabi ﷺ stands as a radiant proof that the station of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is unparalleled, exalted above, and distinct from all of creation, he added.
