In the blessed month of Ramadan, a series of Duroos-e-Irfan al-Qur’an (lectures on the spiritual understanding of the Qur’an) is ongoing under the auspices of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran. These spiritual and intellectual gatherings, held after the Fajr prayer, are witnessing the participation of thousands of men and women. Distinguished scholars and speakers are delivering lectures on social reform, the family system, religious knowledge, and love for the Ahl al-Bayt.

The first session of a five-day Duroos-e-Irfan al-Qur’an program organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore Aziz Bhatti Town featured Professor Ahsan Owais Mustafavi speaking on the topic, “The Role of Spouses in Building Society.” He stated that the fundamental pillar of societal development is a strong family system, which is based on the mutual relationship between husband and wife.

He explained that Islam does not regard marriage as merely a social contract but as a sacred trust. If spouses live with love, patience, mutual consultation, and piety, a healthy and ethical society emerges. He emphasized that solutions to contemporary family issues lie within Islamic teachings.

In the second session, Allama Dr. Abdul Quddus Durrani addressed the topic, “Religious Knowledge as a True Human Need.” He said that in today’s age of intellectual confusion and moral crisis, religious knowledge provides the correct direction. He added that religious knowledge is not merely a collection of information but a source of character-building and insight. When a person seeks guidance from the Qur’an and Sunnah, they develop a sense of balance and responsibility in every sphere of life.

In the third session, Allama Shahid Iqbal Yousafi spoke on “The Secret of Success in Both Worlds.” He said that true success is that which grants honor in both this world and the Hereafter. Complete faith, sincerity of intention, and righteous deeds are the true path to salvation. Qualities such as piety, patience, and gratitude refine a person’s life, while good character and integrity form the foundation of social prosperity.

On February 28, in the fourth session, Allama Ghulam Shabbir Jami addressed the topic, “Faith, the Qur’an, and the Ahl al-Bayt.” He said that the Holy Qur’an is a complete code of life, and the lives of the purified Ahl al-Bayt present its practical interpretation. History bears witness that whenever the Muslim Ummah firmly adhered to the teachings of the Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt, it attained honor and stability. To protect the younger generation from intellectual confusion, adherence to the teachings of the Qur’an and the exemplary model of the Ahl al-Bayt is an urgent necessity.

A large number of office-bearers, workers, and members of the public are participating in the Duroos-e-Irfan al-Qur’an, including representatives from Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League, Mustafa Students Movement, and Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League.
