Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, while addressing the large Friday congregation at Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam in Model Town, Lahore, said that everything created by Allah functions with harmony and order. Allah has honored human beings as the noblest of creation, and this distinction is due to their capacity for discipline and balance.

He explained that the human being is a combination of uns (love and affection) and nisyan (forgetfulness). In other words, a person possesses the ability to love and also the tendency to forget. Allah desires that humans love everything that belongs to Him and forget whatever does not belong to Him.

He further said that the hallmark of a human being is the dignity of order and organization. A believer is a disciplined person whose days and nights are not disorderly. If none of Allah’s creations exist without order, how can the noblest of creation live without discipline?

Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri stated that the person who gains control over their worldly desires rises to the higher rank of humanity described in the Qur’an. Paradise is promised to those who safeguard their tongue and their chastity.

He emphasized that being careful in the use of one’s words is also a form of discipline. One should speak gently and use beautiful, kind expressions, and avoid hurting others’ souls with harsh or bitter words. If a person cannot speak good words, it is better to remain silent, for Allah also loves the silence of a believer. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that silence can also be an act of worship.

He concluded that all these actions related to human life are connected with discipline, balance, and harmony. When a person loses this sense of order and discipline, they become harmful not only to themselves but also to others.
