Hazrat Ali (RA) Is a Great Fountain of Knowledge and Wisdom: Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has said that Ali ibn Abi Talib (Karram Allahu Wajhah) is a great fountain of knowledge and wisdom. From his childhood, he was blessed with the companionship and training of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, through which he directly benefited from the knowledge of Prophethood.
He said that the Holy Prophet ﷺ stated: “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate,” which clearly reflects the lofty scholarly status of Hazrat Ali (RA).
Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Hazrat Ali (RA) held a unique and distinguished position in the knowledge of the Qur'an, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), judicial matters, and wisdom. The noble companions would seek his guidance in complex issues, and he would resolve them with deep insight and justice. His sayings and judgments remain exemplary models of knowledge, wisdom, and fairness.
He further stated that besides being a great fountain of knowledge and wisdom, Hazrat Ali (RA) was also the embodiment of courage and bravery. Through his knowledge, profound insight, and exemplary character, he guided the Muslim Ummah and consistently upheld the banner of truth and righteousness.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri added that Hazrat Ali (RA) is a source of guidance for the Ummah both outwardly and spiritually. He is among those illustrious companions and members of the purified household whose purity and sanctity have been clearly mentioned in the Holy Qur’an.
He said that Hazrat Ali (RA) and his noble family rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the supremacy of Islam. Islamic history bears witness that his struggles, bravery, and scholarly contributions played a fundamental role in the propagation and spread of the religion of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri concluded that the teachings and character of Hazrat Ali (RA) will continue to serve as a guiding light for Muslims for all times and will help keep the Ummah steadfast on the path of truth and righteousness.
