Karbala Represents the Triumph of Truth: Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
Allah Himself Elevates the Remembrance of Those Who Sacrifice Their Lives in His Cause
Love for Imam Husayn (AS) Is the Path to the Love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Love of Allah
Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, spoke on the exalted spiritual status of Imam Husayn (AS), the love of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and the universal message of Karbala. He said that the event of Karbala stands as a symbol of the ultimate triumph of truth. He emphasized that love for Imam Husayn (AS) is, in reality, the path to the love of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the love of Almighty Allah.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Allah Almighty eternally preserves and elevates the remembrance of His beloved and chosen servants. The mention of Imam Husayn (AS), he said, is not confined to the people of the earth; rather, his greatness and virtues are celebrated in the heavens as well. The noble personality of Imam Husayn (AS) is a shining beacon of truth, sincerity, loyalty, and sacrifice, from which humanity will continue to draw guidance for generations to come.
He further stated that the Holy Prophet (PBUH), throughout his blessed life, demonstrated unparalleled love, affection, and attachment toward the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), providing a timeless model of guidance for the Muslim Ummah. Love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), he explained, is in fact a manifestation of love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and a reflection of one's commitment to his teachings.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Imam Husayn (AS) set an unparalleled example of patience, steadfastness, and unwavering commitment to truth on the plains of Karbala—an example unmatched in human history. Rather than submitting to oppression, tyranny, and falsehood, he upheld the banner of truth and righteousness and offered the greatest of sacrifices for the preservation of the religion brought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He added that the tragedy of Karbala is not merely a historical event; rather, it is an eternal lesson and a timeless message for all humanity. It teaches every generation that true success lies in sacrificing for the sake of truth, standing firm against oppression, and remaining content with the will and pleasure of Almighty Allah.
