Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri slams Mohmand Agency attack

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has condemned the suicide attack in front of office of Assistant Political Agent in Mohmand Agency, which resulted in the killing of over 110 people, besides injuring many more. He expressed his deep grief and sorrow over such a precious loss of human lives, terming the step as cowardly. He said that the terrorists were all out to target the unarmed the civilians in a bit to put pressure on the government to halt counter-terrorism operation in the tribal areas. He asked the government not to buckle under the pressure of the terrorists and continue with the military action to eliminate this evil menace once and for all.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the terrorists’ contention that they did not target civilian population stood exposed as they had claimed responsibility of the dastardly attack. He said that the terrorists were enemies of Islam and humanity who wanted to bring Islam and Pakistan into disrepute through their reprehensible actions. He said that the attacks on the civilians showed that the terrorists and extremists were caving in due to wide-ranging isolation and military action and such steps only showed their desperation. He asked the people of Pakistan to stand united in this hour of great trial and grief because it is the national unity which can thwart the evil designs of the terrorists. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in peace and give patience to the families to bear the loss of their near and dear ones.
